A "power of attorney" (UK) is a legal process to enable other people to be able to deal with your affairs on your behalf e.g sign cheques, pay bills etc.

An enduring power of attorney differs in that it can continue to be used
(provided it is registered by the attorney) even if you become mentally incapable of managing your own affairs or understanding who is acting on your behalf.
